Google last month debuted a new “Watch With Me” series on Google TV that features well-known personalities from around the world recommending their favorites. The inaugural episode featured a curated watchlist from Emmy-nominated actress and LGBTQ+ advocate Laverne Cox. Now, Google TV is adding the second “Watch With Me” episode featuring comedian Hasan Minhaj.
Best known for his Netflix show Patriot Act with Hasan Minhaj, Minhaj has also featured in some movies and TV shows and has been seen on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah. He is also a writer and producer.
In the latest episode of Watch With Me on Google TV, Minhaj talks about how movies and TV shows can change one’s life and influence their personality. They can also be a good way to spend some quality time with your friends and family.
“Movies and TV shows are an opportunity to watch something with loved ones,” Hasan says. “Whether they make you laugh or feel something deep. Or they can be a source of respite, or help you realize how big the world is.”

Minhaj’s watchlist includes no less than 45 titles including the 1998 comedy classic Rush Hour, comedy-drama Ramy, 1993 hit A Bronx Tale, Chris Rock’s comedy special Never Scared, 1998 romantic hit You’ve Got Mail, Bollywood romantic drama Jab Tak Hai Jaan, and many more.
